What is counselling and who is it for?
At some point we all need someone to talk to; someone who does not have their own agenda - who we can trust and who will not judge us.
Counselling is a ‘talking therapy’ for anyone with any issue/s - a safe relationship between qualified professional and client.
I work and trained in a humanistic integrative way; using different skills and interventions which I think may help e.g. ideas from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and TA (Transactional Analysis).
I do not advise clients but work collaboratively with them in looking at their problems and achieving their goals. My aim is to empower my clients towards change; often achieving self worth, clarity, resolution and acceptance.
Counselling can be challenging, but I offer a supportive, caring and of course confidential environment.

How long does counselling last?
Typically a single session lasts 50 minutes.
The length of therapy depends on the individual and presenting problems. This would be discussed further following our initial assessment and reviewed regularly.

How much does counselling cost?
For individuals it is £30 per session.
Packages (details depending on number of sessions needed) are available for students who require therapy as part of their own counselling training.
